Together with Vera Kunczer and Srividja Jandhyala, I have published a research paper investigating how populism in a (potential) host country influences FDI location choice. We develop novel theoretical arguments for different regime characteristics and how they influence the populism-FDI relationship, and we test these mechanisms on a large multinational dataset.
